Why should a precision metering pump be equipped with a safety valve?

As we all know, the precision metering pump is mainly composed of three parts: power drive, fluid delivery and adjustment control. The precise processing accuracy ensures the output of each pump, and then realizes the precise measurement of the conveyed medium. Nowadays, the theme of environmental protection is getting more and more attention. Why are precision metering pumps equipped with safety valves? Let's take a look at the safety valve of the precision metering pump!

The safety valve of the precision metering pump plays a role of safety protection in the system. If there is no safety valve of the precision metering pump, it will sometimes even cause an explosion.

The safety valve of the precision metering pump can be automatically opened and closed according to the working pressure. Generally, it is installed on the equipment or pipeline of the closed system to protect the safety of the system; when the pressure in the equipment or pipeline exceeds the specified value, it will automatically open and release the pressure to ensure the equipment and pipeline. The medium pressure is within the specified value to prevent accidents.

When the system pressure exceeds the specified value, the safety valve of the precision metering pump is automatically opened to discharge part of the gas in the system into the atmosphere, so that the system pressure does not exceed the allowable value, so as to ensure that the system does not cause accidents due to excessive pressure.

When selecting the safety valve of a precision metering pump, you should choose according to the parameters, and you need to provide the set pressure, etc. What is the set pressure of the safety valve?

The setting pressure is also called the opening pressure, which is an important parameter for the operation of the safety valve of a precision metering pump. The setting of the setting pressure is directly related to the safety of the equipment operation.

The setting pressure refers to the time when the safety valve flap starts to open under operating conditions. The predetermined pressure is the gauge pressure measured at the valve inlet.

Under this pressure, under the specified operating conditions, the force generated by the medium pressure to open the valve and the force to keep the valve clack on the valve balance each other. Under this pressure, the precision metering pump begins to have a measurable opening height, and the medium is in a continuous discharge state that can be sensed visually or audibly.

How to adjust the setting pressure of the safety valve of the precision metering pump?

Within the specified working pressure range of the precision metering pump, the setting pressure can be adjusted by rotating the adjustment screw and changing the spring preload compression. Remove the valve cap and loosen the lock nut to adjust the adjustment screw. First, increase the inlet pressure to make the valve jump once. If the opening pressure is low, tighten the adjustment screw clockwise; if it is open If the pressure is too high, loosen it in a counterclockwise direction.

In order to ensure the normal use of the precision metering pump, when the required setting pressure is adjusted, tighten the lock nut and install the cap. If the required setting pressure exceeds the working pressure range of the spring, you need to change another spring with a suitable working pressure range, and then make adjustments. After changing the spring, you should change the corresponding data on the nameplate.

The above is some introduction about the safety valve of the precision metering pump. The precision metering pump is equipped with safety valves, which can be easily adjusted with sufficient precision and accuracy to achieve precise measurement.
